TSM represents Valleys licensing/sync rights for: World
Artist Description: Formed in August 2005 by long-time collaborators Marc St. Louis and Matilda Perks under the name There Were Valleys, the duo began playing together as a backing band for Brooklyn based anti-folk artist Rachel Lipson. They were later joined by Pascal on the guitar. Their live performances as a trio within the Montreal, New York and Toronto circuits have seen them share the stage with Fleet Foxes, MGMT, Yeasayer, Vetiver, Castanets, Wooden Stars, Shapes and Sizes, Magic Weapon (members of Sunset Rubdown) and more.
In 2007 the band won Nightlife Magazines Pop Nightlife Award for Most Promising Local Act. In 2012, the band decides to go back as a duo and to work on a more elaborated sound. The songs become brighter and more catchy. Well respected NY label Kanine Records signed Valleys after a successful Pop Montreal Festival, and released their album 'Are You Going to Stand There and Talk Weird All Night?' in the spring of 2013.
