Artist Description: Morgan Kibby: A classical pianist, cellist, vocalist, producer and composer, multi-talented Morgan Kibby has an oeuvre that spans many genres, medias and interests. A post-high school gap year turned into a 7 year creative journey, during which she was a writer, keyboard player and vocalist on two M83 albums and tour cycles (Saturdays=Youth & Hurry Up We’re Dreaming). The culmination of this partnership was her first platinum single with “Midnight City,” a Grammy nomination and headlining the Hollywood Bowl.

As a writer, producer and performer, Kibby has co-written with Panic! at the Disco on their platinum and Grammy nominated album Death of a Bachelor, released solo material under the moniker White Sea, remixed over 20 tracks from Britney Spears to Jose Gonzalez and sang on trailers for Harry Potter and Lady In The Water and scored the critically acclaimed French film Bang Gang, She has been described by Rolling Stone as "epic and ardent," while LA Weekly coined her "LA's renaissance woman of pop.”

Kibby collaborated with Wolvesmouth chef Craig Thornton on his Lucy Walker-directed documentary for The New Yorker and contributed score and sound design to his latest art installation, which opened at MOCA in Los Angeles. Kibby was selected for the Sundance Composer Lab, spending two weeks at the iconic Skywalker Sound in Marin County.

Most recently, Kibby has made her first foray into television composition, scoring 2 Sentence Horror Story, as well as the documentary series Finding Genius. She has contributed vocal production to David Campbell’s most recent score for Finding Fellini, just wrapped the upcoming documentary Interior Motives, and is preparing for three upcoming narrative features: The Amaranth, Eva Husson’s Girls of the Sun and Spell. Kibby has just wrapped Fear Us Women by Oscar-nominated director David Darg.
